Harry Potter

SPOILERS: This page contains information related to ALL six books
Harry Potter, at the age of 11, finds out he's a wizard - like his parents were. He was kept in the dark by his cruel uncle and aunt how despise him and anything 'abnormal'. He soon enters a whole new world as he sets off for Hogwarts School, where he will be trained to become a fully able wizard.
He finds out about the fate of his parents, murdered ten years earlier by Lord Voldemort - a wizard that turned as bad as a wizard possibly could. He killed Harr's parents, but failed to kill him, marking Harry's forehead with a lightning scar and disappearing in oblivion. Harry name is known throughout the wizarding world as 'The Boy Who Lived'.
Harry, who looks just like his father - yet with his mother's eyes, befriends fellow Gryffindors Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley and has quite a knack for breaking school rules and getting into trouble - like his father once had.
He also has a thing for getting himself in danger. During his first year he faces Voldemort once again and thwarts his plan to get the Philosopher's Stone.
At the end of his second year he enters the Chamber of Secrets and fights the balisilik led by Tom Riddle (the memory of the young Voldemort), saving Ginny Weasley and the school.
In his third year, Harry encounters his estranged step-father, Sirius Black - that he thought to be a murderer and the traitor behind his parents demise - only to find out he had only ever been loyal to them and was wrongfully charged.
As Harry begins his fourth year at Hogwarts, he is secretly entered into the Triwizard Tournament, and has no choice but to compete and this leads him to witness - and be a tool of - Voldemort's return to (some kind of) human life.
When his fifth year at Hogwarts approaches, things get worse for Harry. Nobody believes that Voldemort has returned and Harry is estranged from the wizarding world. Everyone seems to think he is a psychopath liar. The Ministry starts to intervene in the school and sends in a new teacher, Dolores Umbridge, who makes Harry's life even more difficult. Power-driven, she forces her way through and chases Dumbledore from the school. Believing Sirius is in danger, Harry leads a small group of Hogwarts students into the Ministry of Magic where they encounter Voldemort's Death Eaters. Sirius is killed but most of the Death eaters are captured.
In the emotional aftermath of the battle, Dumbledore reveals to Harry why his life took such a dramatic turn. Before he was born a prophecy fortold that he, Harry would be the one to face Lord Voldemort. Harry learns that his destiny is to become a killer or be killed.
Year six is the darkest yet. Harry has accepted what he has to do and Dumbledore teaches him all he knows about Voldemort, hoping that will help him kill him once and for all. At the same time Voldemort is plotting to kill Dumbledore and has followers deep in Hogwarts who will stop at nothing to fulfil his mission. At the end of the year Harry has grown up and is ready to face Voldemort.
